Choosing the Traits for a Product

The traits from your Categories are available to any product within that category. The traits that relate to the product you are entering may be chosen via the features tab of the third tier menu as shown below.

Upon clicking this button while editing or entering your product you will be presented with a screen similar to the following screen.

Check the box next to any Traits you want the product to be associated with, and click ‘Next Step: Features’ to continue. You will be presented with a radio list of the options you set up for each trait earlier. Select the default (no cost) option for your product.

Once you’ve selected the defaults click ‘Next Step: Options’ to begin costing out the other options. You’ll see a list of options with checkboxes and text fields for entering dollar values next to each option.

Check the box beside each attribute that relates to this product and enter the associated cost in the Unit Cost text field. These options will be available to your shopper via a drop down list that is displayed when viewing the product. When finished your screen should look similar to the following.

Click the ‘Complete Entry’ button to finish the product entry and return to the list of products in you catalog.
